Open Mike at the Library – Tuesday 12/18

The next event on our music calendar is right at home in Bolton. Every month (with a few exceptions for July and August, and last month because of Thanksgiving), we host an open mike at the Bolton Public Library. In an informal setting, without sound system, microphones or amplifiers, we gather to share songs, stories and poetry. All are welcome to come and play, come listen or both.

We get started at 7PM. Please come a few minutes early if you’d like to perform so you can get on the list. We start out the night, then look forward to listening to everyone else. Once everyone has had their turn, we form a big circle and play some more. We invite everyone, listeners and musicians, into the circle. Play a song or request someone else play a song you’d like to hear or sing.

The open mike is all about building community. We support one another and grow together. This is what the library is all about, and it’s what the music, poetry and spoken word are all about as well. We hope to see you soon!

Off to Vermont

We just arrived in historic Bennington, VT. Tonight we’re playing at South Street Cafe on, you guessed it, South Street. We’re looking forward to checking out this place and playing a few sets of music. We found out about this place from another touring musician, our friend Laura Joy. Laura is based in Chicago, but has roots in the Capital District of New York. She’s played South Street Cafe before and always has great things to say about the place, the people and the food.

We’ve played in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Connecticut. But this is our first time playing in Vermont. So we’ll now be able to say we’ve played all the New England states. We’ve also played in New York (both in the City and in the upper Hudson Valley region). Our touring will remain limited to these seven states for the near future.

So, greetings from Vermont, and hope to see you at a show soon.
