The Dream Journal – May 2017

Hello!

We’re a little behind on our newsletter writing duties this month because we’ve been crazy busy moving from MA to NH, and getting ready to hit the road! It’s a somewhat quiet month for us, musically, because of all the other stuff going on in our lives right now, but there’s always music happening.

This Friday, May 12th, we’re off to Riverdale Park, MD to Robert Harper Books, a used bookstore, intimate performance space and community meeting place. Tell your friends in the Maryland / Washington DC area! Music runs 8-10pm.

The Bolton Public Library Unplugged open mike is taking off the month of May. Come back and see us Tuesday, June 20th.

Any of our musician friends attending the South East Regional Folk Alliance (SERFA) conference in Montreat, NC Thursday-Sunday May 18th-21st? We’re playing in three showcases: Cup of Joe at 11:45pm Thursday night, the Acoustic Music Scene Showcase at midnight Thursday night, and the Songwriters Association of Washington’s SAW Showcase at 11:15pm Saturday night. Hope we’ll see you there!

We just recorded a session of Open Mic: The Living Room Sessions, hosted by Liz Shay and Roy Baker. It will be broadcast on WCFA-LP in Cape May, NJ or streaming live online at http://wcfa-lp.org. We’ll send out an update as soon as it’s scheduled for broadcast, or you can watch here for more details.

Our CDs Seeking and Simple Grace are available from us at our shows, on our website, or you can find them at CD Baby, iTunes and most other online music stores. Seeking has been specially mastered for iTunes, which gives higher fidelity over standard iTunes recordings.

As always, you can find additional schedule information on our website, https://www.danandfaith.com. For more frequent news updates and information, check out our Facebook fan page and follow us on Twitter (@danandfaith).

Now that all the snow has melted, and April’s showers have caused May’s flowers to bloom, it’s time to get out of the house and go listen to some local music. It’s the perfect cure for cabin fever!

The Dream Journal – April 2017 – Update!

Hello!

We mentioned in our April newsletter that this coming weekend, we would be taking part in the Ladies In The House Online Music Festival via Concert Window, sponsored by GoGirls Music and the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance. The schedule has been finalized!  Twenty five different acts, all featuring women musicians, will be performing this coming Saturday and Sunday, April 22nd and 23rd, from noon-7pm each day.  We’ll be on at 3:30pm on Saturday, April 22nd.  You can find the full schedule here.  To tune in, go to the Concert Window website and search for #LITHfestival, where you’ll find each of the acts listed along with their date and time, and a link to their individual streaming channels.  Just click on the artist’s channel at their appointed time, put your feet up, and enjoy the music!  To get to our channel directly, you can click here.  The festival is free (though you are encouraged to tip the artists — many will have interesting incentives available).

Sometimes local music can happen right in the comfort of your home, even if the musician is thousands of miles away.  Isn’t the Internet amazing?
